Doncaster Sheffield Airport
The Airport is located in the south east of Doncaster, it is the old RAF Finningley site. Based on the actual time of taking these photos the Airport was still open and had flights actively taking off and coming in before the airport closed down.
Commercial service finished as of 5 November 2022, there are no more regular commercial passenger airline services to or from Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The last scheduled flight departed Doncaster Sheffield on 29 October 2022, while inbound aircraft continued until 4 November 2022.
The airspace was listed as Class G (Uncontrolled) after the airport closed down, Since then there has been much talk about bringing it back and recently the local council agreed on a rescue plan which could see the airport opening up again at the end of 2024 or early 2025.
If you would like to see further more Doncaster Airport pictures taken by my Drone, then feel free to browse my other website based on Drone Photography captured at the airport whilst listed as class G airspace (Uncontrolled)
